| Mission Statement: | I am grateful for the new opportunities, wealth and prosperity that women are experiencing today. However, the vast majority of women are falling through the economic cracks. These women are employed, but are faced with numerous life demands including, raising and supporting children, finding quality childcare, high rent and mortgages and so much more. According to U.S. government data, women are both paid less than men and disproportionately hold lower paying jobs and positions. With these insufficient salaries – they remain unable to survive In spite of the acute needs of women in our community there are very few alternatives for women in financial transition who are in need of temporary housing. Homeless shelters typically do not address the needs of working women unless they are almost destitute. There are programs that address the needs of battered women or women with chemical dependency, but most of the women with housing needs fit neither of these categories. Furthermore, others do not sense that there is a need to assist women with children, who find themselves struggling under financial strain due to divorce, bankruptcy, lack of child support, or other devastating events. I believe that we have been called into the Kingdom for such a critical time as this to empower women for greatness. We do not want to cripple them by merely feeding them, but our desire is to teach these women how to “fish” and become independent, self-sufficient women that understand who God predestined them to be. Equipping women to realize their purpose and inspiring them to reach their destiny will transform these women as they mature spiritually and naturally. As women of vision and purpose, I am counting on you to share the vision with me as Women of Influence Partners in an effort to effectively address this severe need. |
